If there is anything you can truly rely on it is that all gradients of American politics can come together to attack China. And its alleged human rights violations against “Falun Gong” members. Be that as it may, and as important as it is to uphold human rights, at the end of the day, no one has bothered to check into what the “Falun Gong” is, what it does, and why anyone would dislike them.

If the goal is to liberalize China (as eurocentrically arrogant as that is), I wouldn’t put my money with a homophobic, intolerant, money-grubbing cult that despises science and encourages its members to take a leap of faith instead of seeing the doctor. But then again, this is what the west always does when it comes down to pushing their policies on the rest of the planet.

As for the specific mishaps of the visit of Hu Jintao, one must note that they are highly suspicious for a nation that is on par with China itself when it comes to controlling its image and the press. The US forgets its manners as Asia Times puts it.
